It's absolutely amazing how much good stuff you can get from the library. Today I was talking to someone at Cafe Europa when they threw out a book recommendation. Instead of either trying to remember the book title or trying to remember where I wrote down the title I just went to the library web site and placed a hold on the book. Now the book will be delivered from wherever it is in the Denver Public Library system to my local library which I can walk to from my apartment. I can do the same for DVDs and CDs - and they have an excellent and expansive collection of both. Turns out that DPL can actually claim to be the nation's best as far as libraries go, but I bet that most libraries have added a lot of technological convenience in the last couple of years as well.
