A (Poignant) Guide to Ruby

If Wes Anderson was in the business of writing manuals for computer programming languages, I believe it would look a lot like why's (poignant) guide to Ruby. Ruby enthusiasm has been bubbling up from somewhere on the Internet as of late. It's billed as an intuitive, object oriented, scripted, high-level programming language that let's development take place faster and in a way that leaves you with less code code to write. One supposed advantage is that less code equals less bugs. Another is that shorter development time may let you get something done faster than your competitor(s).
Anyway, I've got learning this lanuage on my todo list as it seems well suited for problem solving across a wide variety of platforms. I'm still reading the (poignant) guide right now though, so I can't speak for Ruby enthusiasts...enthusiasm just yet.
