Twixters - My God that's Bad

I ran into the teaser article Grow Up? Not Quite last night while perusing CNN. Reading the first part left me wanting more (that and the fact that I went to college with the kid in the picture), and I found more in Canada. They can view the whole article for some reason.

As the title might suggest, the article (cover story actually) offers a look at the 20 somethings of today who have graduated college yet haven't really worked there way into the "adult" world. What defines the adult world is hard to say but it seems to entail getting married, getting 9-5 job, and perhaps buying a house and starting a family.

It's pretty safe to say that, by this definition, 20 somethings are not becoming adults as fast as they had in the past. What's controversial is what's causing the delay.

More: Metafilter has a nice thread going on this topic. I think the crowd there demonstrates that there is more responsibility in the "twixter" generation than many give them credit for.

If you want to hear from someone who's completely out of touch on this issue try here.
